We are following the local state recommendations which have been carefully crafted and are modified with changing conditions. We are monitoring those changes closely. The following links are very helpful.
COVID VACCINE PUBLIC INFORMATION LINKS
Vaccine allocations at this time are determined initially through federal allocation to the North Dakota Department of Health (NDDOH). The NDDOH Covid Vaccine Task Force then allocates vaccine according to a carefully planned rollout. Allocations to clinics are subject to availability of covid vaccine from the federal government and distribution decisions by the North Dakota Department of Health.

5/18/2020 REOPENING LETTER ARCHIVE
INNOVATIVE "3-CAP" CLINICAL APPOINTMENT PROCESS
The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted our community over the last 2 months in ways none of us could have predicted. We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Thank you for your personal efforts to keep yourself, your family, and your neighbors safe. We particularly would like to express great thanks to frontline medical and non-medical essential workers who have placed themselves at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus.
During these past few weeks, Prairie SEA Clinics have been diligently working to restore safe, timely, and state of the art services to you and our community while doing Video Visits. We do anticipate that Covid-19 will be with us for possibly many months or years, with variable presentations affecting people of all ages. The new paradigm of this new illness requires changes to how we provide state of the art Otolaryngologic care to you.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practices. We have designed our infection control processes so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office monitors infection control recommendations made by the North Dakota Smart Reopening Initiatives, American Academy of Otolaryngology, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). the American Academy of Otolaryngology, and other relevant medical societies. We follow the medical literature, activities and guidance of these agencies and societies, and implement procedures which are up-to-date. Your in-office experience will look a little different.
We are excited first to welcome Kirsten Horner AuD, joining Jessica McLindsay AuD in our Audiology Department, as she relocates back from Denver. She will to provide experienced, doctorate level Audiology care at the clinic and Hearing Services at our on site affiliate Prairie SEA Hearing Center.
COVID-19 related changes include special cleaning protocols of common surfaces such as the stairwell, elevator, door-knobs, and other common use areas through the day. We will offer increased availability of hand sanitizer stations. Removal of magazines, toys, and brochures was required as they are not possible to clean well. Our coffee station is no longer self service to reduce risks between patients (but just ask our friendly staff for help!). Social distancing in the office may reduce certain times available for designated office appointments to accommodate new changes we are making for you.
Visitors and chaperones will be restricted to one per person and no children are permitted who are not patients without advanced permission. Both patients and vistors will be subject to temperature checks and screening before entry to the facility We may require you to get Covid-19 testing or have other tests before you come in to the office. Masks will be required in all areas of our facility and we will provide you one if you require it.
The endeavor to provide to you an optimally safe office visit lead us to develop for you a pioneering change to the structure of your office visit. We are pleased to announce our new 3-CAPTM : 3 STEP Clinical Appointment Process by Prairie SEA Clinics.

Prairie SEA News Update: 03/22/2020 11:59 PM
All elective ENT activities have been stopped at Prairie SEA Clinic due to the specific risks that exist at this time related to coronavirus. With that in mind, there are now new care requirements for the ENT patients that we see on an urgent or emergent basis. We are providing this information to you at this time in order to assist with understanding why we are taking such drastic actions at our clinic during the pandemic. We are here to help and trying to advocate for your health. We are working to secure a safe and healthy environment anywhere that care is sought in our community. Hospitals and clinics in other countries have been a key site of infection spread and we are trying to prepare you, our patient and your families, as we all share this national crisis. Its going to get worse before it gets better. When you are seeking ENT care, please note that we will now need to wear extensive protective equipment.
NEW AMERICAN ACADEMY OF OTOLARYNGOLOGY (ENT) PATIENT CARE GUIDELINE WITH RESPECT TO NOVEL CORONAVIRUS:
"When a detailed examination or surgical procedure is necessary for urgent or emergent care and the COVID-19 status of the patient cannot be confirmed, then the patient should be handled as if they are COVID-19 positive. This consideration should apply regardless of whether in an office, hospital,.or operating room setting. Furthermore, the provider and surrounding staff must have the necessary PPE"

ELECTIVE MEDICAL AND SURGICAL CARE: There is controversy in the United States about what to do right now with many hospitals not following the CMS directive to stop elective surgery. It is variable in California at an epicenter and North Dakota as well.As people are dying in New York, begging for supplies, reusing masks, we should not be doing truly elective cases or seeing elective patients in hospital or clinics – unless they place a patient at risk for harm in the next 60-90 days for lack of surgery or clinical care. Video visits are essential.
